She had just received a foreclosure notice. The house she'd raised us in, the one with the hand-painted kitchen tiles and the creaky third step, was about to be taken away. She couldn't sleep. I remember sitting at her kitchen table, surrounded by stacks of unopened mail and a cold cup of coffee. She kept apologizing — for the mess, for the situation, for "letting this happen." Aman's background in medicine and medical research gives her a unique ability to listen deeply, diagnose the real problem beneath the surface, and approach every situation with compassion. My years in law enforcement and IT/business operations taught me how to protect people under pressure and cut through red tape to get things done. Together, we've built 8REI on a foundation of empathy, integrity, and relentless problem-solving.
